Experience Summary
A dedication to customer service and the prioritizing of customer needs have been hallmarks of Andy’s career. He has over 30 years of experience serving the banking needs of the West Michigan business community beginning in 1992 when he and his wife, Amy, moved to Grand Rapids shortly after graduating from Western Michigan University.
He has been a team member since 2013 – joining Macatawa in a desire to find an organization that shared his passion and focus for the community. He has called the Forest Hills area home since 1998 and was a coach of youth sports teams with the YMCA and the Thornapple Valley Baseball League for many years. Andy serves as the Vice-Chair on the board of directors for the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and has served on the Civic board for over 8 years.
Outside of work, Andy is an avid golfer and enjoys playing courses throughout the area but especially at Saskatoon with the St. Robert’s Golf League which he has been a member of for over 20 years. He and Amy also enjoy world travel, concerts at Meijer Gardens, supporting local beer festivals, and spending time up north in the Leelanau peninsula.
