We know West Michigan because it’s our home. Macatawa Bank was born in 1997 by a group of local business leaders who believed in the power of true community banking. That commitment hasn’t changed. Today, as a Wintrust Community Bank, we remain deeply rooted in West Michigan — dedicated to the people, businesses, and neighborhoods we’ve always served.

A Simple Beginning



In 1991, Wintrust’s founders set up shop in a northern Chicago suburb with a simple idea: to provide an alternative to the big banks. Now, more than 30 years and 200+ locations later, we’ve stayed true to that original mission.
