Food:

Opt for a short-term rental (check VRBO.com or Airbnb.com) or campsite, which can be far more affordable than hotels. If you do stay in a hotel, avoid touristy areas where prices and fees can be inflated and book online for the best deals.


Entertainment:

Research fun activities to do ahead of time. Search for local deals, national park passes and more online. Think outdoors! Visit beaches, playgrounds and local parks for affordable fun.
